Hello!

Thank you everyone for the very generous contributions, the good wishes, and the continuous support. I admit I am nervous to go, but with all the support people are giving me I hardly feel scared. My trip was delayed a week because the nurse I am working with was on vacation. So I am off to Lima this Monday, July 31. In case anyone wants to send mail to me, email me for my address.

NOTE: I have heard the postal service between the U.S. and Peru is unreliable and sending packages is very expensive, so while it's sad, I think it's better to stick with emails. Or you could scan a letter and email that.

Packing has been difficult in this heat, but I am trying to enjoy it since it will be cold in Peru. Stay tuned for the next update. I am eager to discover what my life in Lima will be!
